No Bake Christmas Desserts That Will Make Your Holiday Even Sweeter
The holidays are upon us and it's time to get into the festive spirit! Whether you're hosting a large gathering or just having a few close family members over, nothing makes a holiday gathering complete like delicious desserts. We all know that baking can be time consuming and require extra effort, but who said you need to bake in order to enjoy a delicious dessert? Here are some no-bake Christmas treats that are sure to make your holiday even sweeter!
Chocolate Dipped Fruit
What says "Christmas" more than chocolate covered fruit? This no-bake treat is easy to make and looks great on any holiday table. All you need are your favorite fruits, a good quality chocolate bar, and some toppings of your choice. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler and dunk pieces of fruit into it. Once they're nicely coated, sprinkle them with crushed nuts, coconut flakes, or sprinkles for a festive look. You can also roll the dipped fruits in shredded coconut or chopped almonds and then place them on wax paper or parchment paper to cool. Enjoy!
Peppermint Bark
This classic Christmas treat is a must-have during the holiday season. Simply melt white and dark chocolate separately in the microwave and combine them together in a bowl. Spread the mixture onto a parchment lined baking sheet and sprinkle crushed candy canes over it. Place the pan in the fridge until it hardens and then break into pieces. This is a great treat to have out for guests or to give away as gifts. It's also a fun activity to do with kids!
Gingerbread Truffles
These gingerbread truffles are so delicious and super simple to make. All you need is a box of gingerbread cake mix, cream cheese, and white or dark chocolate. Mix the gingerbread cake mix and cream cheese together until it forms a dough. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a wax paper lined baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least an hour. Once the truffles are hardened, melt the chocolate in the microwave and dip each truffle in it. Place them back on the baking sheet and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Let them cool and enjoy!
No-Bake Cheesecake
This no-bake cheesecake is the perfect dessert for any Christmas party. Simply mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and a few tablespoons of melted butter in a bowl. Add in some vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Then spread the mixture into a prepared graham cracker crust and refrigerate for several hours until it sets. Top it off with whipped cream, cherries, and anything else you like. Enjoy your creamy and decadent cheesecake without having to turn on the oven!
